Day 5 - Seoul (3rd Sep, 2012, Mon)

Our flight back to Malaysia is 5.25p.m, so about 1p.m we have to start to take the metro, in order to reach airport on 3.25p.m.

Today we just walk around at Itaewon area, and finally have the chance to try the Spa facilities inside the Itaewon land.

Seoul is a country that most of the restaurant and coffee shops are open about 10a.m, it is a happening place when the night arrive.

We are going to buy some local foods inside their supermarket, and they actually provide delivery services, but we are rushing time, so self carry the goods.

After this, we back to the JinJilbang to have the lunch inside, the "Han Sik Tang" food is nice. The unique experience here is, the bathroom place is open, and everyone inside is naked, some sort of like Japan kind of Spa which you can see in the movie, drama and comic. The male and female places are separated, but of course you won't get used to it during the first time, but sooner or later you will be get used to it.

3rd floor have a Korea restaurant (Han Sik Tang) and a hall that male and female can sit or lying there together. It's like a recreation places where family member, or friends can hang out there together. There are several spa room inside with different degree and different too.

4th floor is our private room, which you can rest there if you don't want to lying on the public hall. There are many types massage provided there with fees. Too bad that we don't have much time to try out the massage there.

If the itinerary is quite rush, basically you can draft one day itinerary start from Namsan Tower, follow by Namdaemum, Myeondong then Insadong places. This area is quite close together, that the subway can easily cover, and of course if you are strong enough, it also can cover by foot.

Travel to Korea is a very unique experience, it's kind a fusion there, no matter is food, environment and buildings. It's a very natural mixture with the traditional and modern building there. If you know a little bit Korean language would be nice to communicate to ask for the direction, else you have to observe the right candidates to ask, or to survey clearly on the directions.

If I have the chance, I will visit this country again, perhaps is in winter season, and will visit to Jeju island as well. : )

Day 4 - Seoul (2nd Sep, 2012, Sun)

Today we are going to Namsang Park, Take Line 4, stop at Hoehyeon Station 425, Exit No. 6, go straight you will reach to the lift as below:

There is love lock place at the Namsan Tower.

Beautiful Korea view from Namsan Tower.

Finally I have tried the Ginseng Chicken Soup at Myeongdong place, the rice is inside the chicken. The Ginseng smell is quite heavy. I am ok with the taste, but my boy friend don't really like the rice inside, he more prefer original type of rice.

Go straight after exit you will reach to a main road, turn left on the main road you will see the crossover bridge, then walk up there is Hangan River Park and Seonyudo is just opposite. But we have rent the bicycle earlier at the shop with 5,000 won each for 2 hours, and it is not allow to cycle to Seonyudo, so we are just cycle around the Hangan river. Actually there is bicycle rental service around the Hangan river, so I think the best is you can walk to Seonyudo first then only rent the bicycle around the Hangan park.

I wanted to see this rainbow fountain, but we didn't see it even we wait there for 30 minutes. The time table say 8.00p.m will have, we wondering are we at the right bridge or not? Take Line 4 to reach to Dongjak 431, exit No. 1 and go straight climb up the staircase. More info about this attraction can refer to below link:

Turn left and go up the road, go straight until you see the "pen" below. This is a trade mark for Insa-dong entrance.

Inside ssamjilgil buildings.

Insa-dong streets.

Above Ssamjigil building there is a place where you hang your love note there. Each of this cost 5,000 won and above depends on the quality.

Ssamjigil, also known as 包袱街, very unique building with a totally new shopping experience. Most is designer item, very creative stuffs selling here.

This one taste not bad, 1,000 won per piece. Inside is red bean, but i saw some other stall is different taste inside.

This is Korean rice wine, "Chang Su" (长寿), mean very long life, it taste very nice. It's too bad that i can't bring it back, due to it must be in chill conditions, and the expired duration is about 10 days.

This is a typical Tea Garden (传统茶房) just behind the Ssamjigil. My Ex Korean Manager bring me to this place, its look so nice, and peace when we having tea here. It's just too bad that I didn't realize the place earlier to take more picture of it.
