Day 3 - Venice (29th April, 2012)

We are departing to Venice on 9.35a.m with Italia Rail. I have booked all the train ticket, in order to save money. You can absolutely on the spot buy the train ticket, but the ticket price may vary depending on the time. For example, i booked this train ticket with €19, but i checked at the kiosk when i arrive the railway station, it costs €45. It can really save a lot if you pre-plan your route.

One thing to highlight here is the toilet in the railway station is cost €1. Most of the time we will use the toilet in restaurant, hotel and even on the train. The train is very comfortable type.

Actually there is several agencies to book for the Train Ticket, for example you can book directly with Trenitalia, or book with Italiarail or even eurorailways. No worry, there actually is like an agency, helping to Trenitalia to sell the train ticket, so you will end up sitting on the right train no matter which company you bought with. But my experience is, check few options and compare the price, because the same timing price is also vary depending on the agency.

One more thing that you must make sure is, the railway train station in Venice is Santa Lucia or Metre. The distance within this 2 station is about 10-15 minutes with train, but most importantly, is the time table from Santa Lucia to Metre. As i check, the time table is about 45-60 mins each, and the train ticket cost €1.20 one way, that you can buy at the ticket counter.

We arrive in Venice at 12.10p.m, and then we go to check in the hotel. The hotel is very friendly environment, and the restaurant is serving us with wine. It taste nice, and it's more like a sparkling juice but with alcohol.

Today we are more relaxing, and we are just walking around, and i like the most the scene here.

Walking inside the building can actually make you get lost, and i can't understand the map, no matter how hard i try. I think the difficult part is, they have change the name. For example, Venice is in English, but it is Venezia in Italy, so i guess it is apply to the street name as well. Well, this is only my guess. If you are lost, don't worry; just follow the crowd of people where they heading to, then you will get the way out.

We called off the day at 9p.m today, because we need to wake up early tomorrow morning at 7a.m to go to the famous Murano and Burano.
